I am at a stable yard preparing the horses stables. Their head’s are over sized. My task is to sweep up and make things look neat and tidy. There are two horses who wander freely around the yard, 1 Bay and 1 Black in colour. I sweep between them, they are a little jumpy. My mother is giving the horses their hay nets but is complaining that they are too small. She asks me for a cleaning sponge but I can’t find one so we speak to one of the stable girls. She attempts to give us directions but nothing she says makes any sense. Of of the girls gets cross because she realises her late Nan didn’t recognise she’d kept a blog and written to her. She had called the blog, Nan Gran. One of the sentences reads, “I am still falling through floors.”
Later I am meant to be attending a photo-shoot but I am eagerly awaiting photos from a previous shoot. I keep checking my phone and my two laptops but nothing comes through. I receive a text message informing me I will be late for the shoot, so I quickly head out the door. Just before I leave I find a handful of blank cheques.
I have allowed my Ex-Boyfriend to visit but things haven’t changed, if anything they are worse. Whenever I turn around, he is there right behind me. He has broken my cooker and is refusing to leave thought the kids are up. He then gets stroppy and says that things clearly wont work between us, I agree and he leaves.
I look out of my back window and notice big black rubbish bags everywhere. I panic because I hadn’t realised that it had got so bad. My neighbours must think I am terrible for allowing so much garbage to build up. I then notice some nets of hay and some big hexagonal bales of it. I realise the rubbish can’t be all mine so I go outside to see who it belongs to. My mum and her horse-loving friends are there. I also notice that the barn I am now in is full of cookers and I feel relived that my Ex-Boyfriend didn’t know about this place. I also make a mental note that my father must shift these before I move house. I suggest to my mother’s friend that we all contribute to the removal of the garbage and she agrees. A male is showing me a posh cutlery set he has purchased, the knife and fork are wrapped in leather.
My mum uses a pocket knife that breaks so she returns it to the shop. I notice in the barn that my mother has a baby cheetah. The cheetah is playing in a boisterous way. I am concerned that when it grows older it will be a danger to my parents or my children. My mum dismisses the idea so I show her a movie clip in which a woman has taken a pet black cheetah to a swimming pool. A police officer gets into the pool to swim with it but the cheetah suddenly attacks him, throwing him around, underwater, by his head. There is a lot of blood. My mother still wont listen. I have had enough of trying to persuade her, I was in the middle of running a marathon and I must get back to it as I was an early runner and I still have a very good running time and chance of getting a high place.

I am going to start by taking the first 4 dream images – Stables, Sweeping, Hay and Dark Horses. On first glance these images point towards the direction my life is taking. It is no secret that I have been holding onto the past and I need to make an effort to move forward myself by cleaning out the clutter of my past and exercising a lot of hard work to get to where I want/need to be. However, on a slightly more disturbing level, there is a clear message being spoken to me here by my subconscious, and one I am certainly going to heed. My friends and followers who read this will now probably sit and cuss me for what I am about to admit. Last night I sent an email to the Ex Boyfriend, aka The Faulty Model. As per my waking life journal post, I had been missing him greatly. I went against my morals, gut instincts and advice of all my friends and family because inside I felt I needed to see him one last time, to make a calculated decision on whether or not the damage he had caused could be repaired. The message from sweeping indicates that I am going against my instincts, I dreamed about hay twice in the same dream, note: Your dream may be trying to call your attention to something. Then the image of the dark horses – You are taking a chance or a gamble at some unknown situation. Clearly my unconscious mind is warning me against my actions and I am actually going to listen to this and not meet up with him for one last time at all.
Now I move onto the directions, police and text message elements of my dream. As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, I have gone against the advice from my family and friends by sending him the email. So these images are correct in their interpretation. The authority that I am going against, being in fact the connections I have with others and my friends. Again the text message represents a message from my unconscious. With regards to the police image . You need to put an end to your reckless behavior or else the law will catch up to you. Alternatively, the dream refers to failure in honoring your obligation and commitments. This too points towards the same message, I need to reel myself in, stay away from the bad things and also, I believe show honour to myself, my family and my friends with regards to this situation.
The next elements, blank cheques, hexagon, garbage, knives and forks are all significant of a mental change I made last night. I took action to start making changes to my drinking patterns, something I know has been hindering my progression in life since I had a breakdown. Maybe since before I did. This is a really positive message to keep going in that direction and has given me extra courage to continue to do so. I believe that the interpretation of leather in my dream, also delivers this message in saying that I am thick-skinned and therefore can stand strong. The cheetah and marathon dream images also convey this same positive message. To dream that you are running in a marathon represents life’s journey and how you are performing or feeling. It is symbolic of your endurance and willpower. To see a cheetah in your dream suggests that you need to get moving and be more active in pursuit of your goals.
Finally Blood. A bit horrible really, it could be as stated an emotional cry for help but at the moment I don’t feel as though I am crying for help. In fact the first part of the interpretation is exceptionally true!
Over all this dream acts as both a warning with regards to the Ex-Boyfriend situation, but also as a positive insight towards the changes I am starting to make. Clearly, if I were to go against my instinct and advice of others this could have disastrous consequences, so instead I must focus on the positive things in my life and the changes I need to make for the better. Slowly but surely cutting out and leaving behind all the things that have been holding me back.
